Greetings after a long artistic winter slumber
WHERE TO BEGIN!?!
First of all, this past fall and winter brought many beautiful changes and heart-wrestling challenges. New jobs, new home and new love, SO many bessings in this 28th year of life.
As for the challenges, those have been in sharing my music! I've been wrestling with demons of worthiness and whether or not I can claim "being a musician". I see this as a huge growth step for me in learning how to share from an even more authentic place. AND I would like to ask you, to reach out to me every now and then, and ask how the music is coming along, and help me to stay accountable to sharing, even when the doubts arise. THANK YOU!
ALAS, I have realized that NOT sharing music is EVEN HARDER than the demons that come up when I share it, so without further ado, HERE'S WHATS HAPPENING IN 2017....
A NEW SINGLE, called Be Longing to Belong,
all about grappling with the demons of worthiness and belonging, coming out this April or May, so keep your ears open for it! (Maybe I'm not the only one who has struggled with this ;) )
ALSO, I am well underway with MY VERY FIRST CHILDRENS SONGBOOK:
Yellow Lotus Flower: How One Lonesome Flower Rose Up from the Muck.
Given the dark times we are facing on the planet these days, it seems extra important to remember the lotus, whose journey to blossom begins in a very dark and unknown place. All of the artwork, including the image at the top, is being masterfully painted by my incredibly talented friend Hillary Mendoza.
