A feast of top level football - and the kids go free!

As we count down to the beginning of the season there are three opportunities for families to enjoy New Zealand football at it's highest levels - all in our own backyard:

26/3 Stirling Sports Premiership Semi-Final: Team Wellington v Waitakere United
26/3 A-League finals decider: Wellington Phoenix v Newcastle Jets
28/3 FIFA World Cup Qualifier: All Whites v Fiji

And, kids go free for all of them! Check out the details below.

Parents Evening, 5.30-6.30pm Wedneday 29 March

Many thanks to all of the coaches who turned out for José's Coaches Evening last Wednesday. There was a fantastic turnout and we've received some great feedback!

Next up, Parents Evening. All of our parents are invited to come and meet José and hear about his vision for the Club. José will be giving a presentation on Wednesday 29 March from 5.30-6.30pm at the clubrooms The bar will be open and the Team Wellington boys will be training on the pitch from 6pm, which you're welcome to watch. This session is designed for adults. If you do need to bring your kids, they are more than welcome, they just won't be able to play on the pitch so space is limited.

Referee Course, 6.30pm Tuesday 4 April

Jamie Cross from Capital Football will be running an introductory refereeing course at the clubrooms from 6.30pm on Tuesday 4 April.

The Club Based Referees Course (CBR) runs for approximately 3 hours, depending on the number of questions asked. This course is a short introduction to the Laws of the Game for those interested in the way the game is officiated and who wish to learn a little more.

The course is open to adults and, for this first time, kids aged 13 and up who may wish to referee our younger kids at some point (as they do in other sports like futsal and floorball).

This is a great opportunity to hear from an expert and to gain confidence for a challenging but highly necessay role in our game.

We will be sending out a registration link early next week.

Team Wellington, Semi Final, Sunday 26 March

The Stirling Sports Premiership Semi Final match this weekend sees José and the boys take on Waitakere United for a crucial spot in the final.

Date: Sunday 26 March
Kick off: 4.05pm
Venue: Dave Farrington Park

José, Stu, Tom, Joel, Cole, Niko and the rest of the team would love to see you there!

Wellington Phoenix v Newcastle Jets, Sunday 26 March

Thanks for your support this season - we've had some ups and down but with a spot in the finals on the line this Sunday we need you more than ever!

International call-ups may have affected our first team - seven players are unavailable representing the All Whites and Fiji - but we have every confidence in our remaining squad of players.

What an opportunity for our #NixGeneration to show they've got the talent to wear the yellow and black with pride! To celebrate the emergence of such great young talent and to commemorate ten years since the Wellington Phoenix were founded - this Sunday, kids up to 12 years old will GO FREE at Westpac Stadium.

It's a slightly earlier kickoff at 7pm, bring the family and help support the #NixGeneration as they step up for the Wellington Phoenix!
