ESP World Conference 2017: Shenzhen, China

11-15 December

We are looking forward to our 9th World Conference at the end of the year. Hereby some important announcements:

Calling for session proposals. We are counting on you, the global ESP community, to develop an interesting  program and move the science-policy-and practice of Ecosystem Services forward. Anyone interested in hosting a session is welcome to submit a proposal. More information about session proposals can be found here. Session proposals can be submitted through the online session proposal submission form before the 30 April deadline

Sponsoring is very welcome so we can keep the conference fee as low as possible. Click here for further information on sponsoring options.

We will soon put a draft-program online and welcome your active participation in drafting the program, identifying key-note speakers and other program elements.

Spread the word: Please forward this message widely in your network(s) (or simply forward this UPDATE):

“The 9th World Conference of the Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP) will be held in Shenzhen, China 11-15 December 2017.  The conference will facilitate a broad range of topics on the latest state-of-the-art on the science, policy and practice of Ecosystem Services. The overarching theme this year will likely focus on the role of ecosystem services in ecosystem restoration and nature based solutions in natural, rural and urban areas. ESP Asia Regional Office

On 23 February the ESP Asia Regional Office had its first meeting with Korean agencies to develop a collaboration agenda for applying ES approaches into national policies and practices in the field. This meeting will be held regularly throughout the year 2017 before the ESP World Conference. If you are interested in joining, please contact us at info@esp-asia.org.

During the ESP World Conference in China, the Asian regional Forum will be held in collaboration with Asian National Networks. We will contact the representatives of Asian ESP NN for gathering suggestions and collecting exemplary cases of ES policy application. The compiled ES policy cases will be shared through the ESP member portal later. For details, please contact info@esp-asia.org.
