Welcome to the Staff:

Chris Kang was formally approved at the 3/15 quarterly business meeting as our interim director of traditional worship.  Per policy, interim positions require renewal every 3 months, until a long-term hire has been made.  Pray for Chris as she helps lead in worship each week!

Called Business Meeting

There is a called business meeting after the worship service on 4/2 to vote on the recommendation from the church council and the interim transitional team to remain in one worship service.  An explanation of this decision along with the names of those on the church council and the interim transitional team can be found at the welcome desk.

News from the Transition Team

The Transition Team would like to thank you for participating in the 28 days of prayer and fasting! We have felt your prayers and have seen God working in our church. We know that God is leading us, even if, like Abraham, we still have far to go. Please continue to pray and seek God's will. Although we will not be including prayer guides each week, you can start over with the previous prayer guides, or make your own as you read God's Word and the Spirit leads you.

As you have been praying and seeking the Holy Spirit's guidance for our church, the transition team wants to know what God is showing you about what our future looks like as a body of Christ in our community.  What are the Core Values we should hold to at FBC Springfield?  Look for a Core Values Survey that will be distributed this Sunday during our morning Bible study classes and after the worship service.  Fill it out and return it to the church office, the labeled basket in the church foyer, or to a transition team member by April 2.  If you aren't able to attend this Sunday, next week's E-News will have a link to the survey. We appreciate your participation in this next step in our intentional interim process.

Missions Council News

Annie Armstrong Easter Offering (AAEO)
Church goal $20,000
Given to Date: $23,185.00

How much do you know about Annie Armstrong?  She was a native of Baltimore, MD. With every fiber of her being, Annie threw herself into gospel mission in 19th century Baltimore. She showed the love of God to her neighbors as she helped people in need. She dug deep into the Bible to better share the good news with others. She cried out to God for the souls of her neighbors and fervently interceded for missionaries all over the world.  Be like Annie--give and pray, and change the world around you!!

More information on AAEO is available online: https://www.anniearmstrong.com/

To contribute to this offering through our church please use designated AAEO offering envelopes or visit www.fbcspringfield.org/give

Pray for Missions: Pray for His safety, peace, and comfort to surround all Christians who are showing His love in deeds while sharing His Gospel, especially in dangeroud places or situations, such as BGR refugee relief teams and Samaritan's Purse field hospital & community center staffs in the Middle East. Remember those who have lost their mortal lives in doing so, such as the four IMB missionaries murdered in Iraq 13 years ago this month. Praise God for new believers, even among the "enemy!" "...One should proceed without holding back from danger to make known the gift of God... to spread God's name everywhere with confidence and without fear..." ("The Confession of Saint Patrick,"~450 AD).
