Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust Grants $1.43M to First Place
The grant advances a $21.3 million comprehensive capital campaign to build First Place–Phoenix. The campaign also includes start-up operating funding and has made the operation of a beta site possible for the First Place Transition Academy since 2015. “First Place–Phoenix demonstrates how to enhance quality of life by harnessing the power of thoughtful community design. Its comprehensive approach is well-suited for fostering social cohesion and resilience in our community,” says Susan Pepin, MD, MPH, president and CEO of Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust. Autism Speaks started the Light It Up Blue campaign, which encourages you to spread awareness by dressing in blue, many landmarks around the world also go blue on April 2!
