Broken Strings

Silence

 so much violence

I can't take it- the silence piercing my screaming skin

Ladies and gentlemen I don't know where to begin

For all I feel now is pain

Silence-I can't take it it's driving me insane

There is no instrument to distract the bitter thoughts

Silence-what my soul never sought

Do I have to wait to the end of time

To stop silence's crime

To hear the slightest sound of a guitar string

I'm mad ? HA I'm telling you it's not my fault!

I'm trying to hide behind a string's note

Ladies and gentlemen

Broken strings are what I've never ought

There is no sound to distract fears

Now it's clear

I have to wait for the broken strings to mend

This is something I can't comprehend

I lost my only friend

Silence- just like a dead battle field

No voices to encourage,to cheer

To erase fear

Now all I have left is the voice of my sobbing

and then I'll shed tears

For I know I can't play the broken strings

GLOBEE SCRIBESON'S MOVIE NIGHT!

GS MOVIE NIGHT!
Maleficent

What if Disney villains weren't really all that evil? For years, audiences across the world have only heard one story–that of the princess.

Follow the story of Maleficent, one of Disney's most infamous villains. As a beautiful young girl, she has peace and happiness within her forest home. After meeting a human boy who betrays her and steals her wings, Maleficent becomes the forest's fiercest protector. When the boy becomes an evil king and threatens to destroy the forest Maleficent casts a curse on his young daughter, Aurora.
However, she quickly realizes that Aurora is the key to peace within the forest and the kingdom.
BUT...its too late. The curse has already been cast.

Is she as evil as the traditional story has made her out to be, or is she a hero?

You'll have to watch to find out!

WORLD HISTORY FUN FACTS!

OK- a word that is universal. Everyone has used OK in a variety of ways, but have you ever wondered what exactly it means or where it came from?

On March 23, 1839 OK was printed for the very first time in The Boston Morning Post. As an abbreviation for "oll korrect", slang for "all correct", OK quickly gained popularity.

Did you know that it originated as "teenage slang"? Just like teenagers today use slang such as "lol" and "ttyl".
In fact, it was printed in The Boston Morning as part of a joke!

MARCH: THE GIVER BY LOIS LOWRY

Imagine a world without color. Imagine a world without love, sadness, joy or any emotion at all. Everyone is assigned their job, their family and their life. There are no options. It's a perfect world–or is it?
When Jonas is given the prestigious job of Giver he is ultimately tested. He quickly learns that there is more to life than routine and predictability.

But can he convince the others to leave their world of comfort for the unexpected?
