Happy 1st day of Spring!

Volunteers:

Volunteers still needed. Many classes have no volunteers who have signed up to assist them backstage. Please take a look at the sing up and volunteer if you have the ability.

*If your child is performing in the 7:00pm show you will need to be available for BOTH the rehearsal on Tuesday May 16 and the performance May 20. We have found it is best practice to have a consistent volunteer for both days.

Costumes are coming in:

Do not worry if your child has not received their costume. We are expecting a very large shipment to arrive the middle of April in plenty of time for picture week May 1 - 6 (pictures will be made during their normal class time).

Recital Extra Touches:

Download the Recital Extra Touches order form and return it to the office with payment. Orders will may be placed until Monday May 1st.

Flowers

We are happy to offer parents the service of ordering flowers for your dancer and pick them up at the arena on show day/night. You will have 3 options this year:

Snowflake bouquets $10.00
Summer Sunshine Bouquet $15.00
Spring Pastel bouquets $25.00

Recital DVD

Recital DVD will be availble for $25

T-shirts

All students receive a T- shirt on the day of the recital and all volunteers will receive a shirt. If you would like to purchase an extra shirt for siblings or moms who cannot volunteer they are available for $10.00. See sample sizes outside of the office. Sizes will be Youth XS, youth S, youth M, youth L, Adult XS, Adult S, Adult M, Adult L, Adult XL

We need you to go to this link and make sure your child’s name is listed/spelled correctly for the back of the t-shirt and select the size you would like for them to have.

Did you know that we have drop in classes for students ages 4 and up?

Tuesdays are class day during the summer at DAG. If you are new to the studio, or just looking for a fun weekly activity during the summer, or are a DAG dancer who misses classes. We are here for you.

Levels

If you are a DAG student from the 2016 – 2017 dance year you will attend THE SAME level class you were in at the end of the year. All students who are moving to pointe during the summer will attend Preparatory classes until they have taken pointe camp and will then take Intermediate classes after camp. For Intermediate and Advanced classes there will be some pointe work at the discretion of the instructor during each class. If you are not a current DAG student and need assessment for levels simply let us know prior to the start of classes, we are happy to work with you on placement.

3 & 4 Year Olds – Kinderdanze 5 – 7 Year Olds – Ballet 1,2,3

8 & 9 Year Olds – Preparatory 10 – 12 Year Olds – Intermediate

13 Years and Up – Advanced

Classes are on Tuesdays beginning on June 13th – August 8th. Intermediate and Advanced students have the option to attend a Thursday class.

Kinderdanze, 9:00am – 9:45am — $10.00

Ballet 1 – 3, 10:00am – 10:45am — $10.00

Preparatory, 11:00am – 12:00pm (July 18 & 25 9:00 – 10:00 with Camp) — $12.00

*Intermediate, June 9:15am – 10:45am, July & August 11:15 – 12:45 — $15.00

*Advanced, June 9:15am – 10:45am, July & August 1:30 – 3:30 — $18.00

*Additional Thursday classes for the Intermediate & Advanced levels those dates are: June 15, June 22, June 29, July 13, July 20, July 27, August 3

Fall Registration Q & A:

We have had some questiosn come to us so we put togther some Q & A's.

Why have you required families to place a payment option on file with the DAG office? Each month you would be surprised at the number of families who do not pay tuition by the 10th. In all honesty most of these families have simply had a sick kiddo and did not attend class the week tuition was due, they had a younger sibling who was having a hard time waiting during dance class and it distracted the parent from stoping by the office to make their monthly payment. We understand that all of our families have the best plans but life happens. Each month the office works with families reminding them that they have a missed / late payment. This has prompted us to make the move to having a payment method on file for each family.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN IF WE LIKE TO PAY BY THE YEAR OF SEMESTER? That is still an option for you. In early August the office will email each family and ask if they wish to pay in a year or semester option. You will have the option to do that by the start of classes later in August.

WHY DO I NEED TO DO ANOTHER FORM, if my family has an auto payment set up with our office currently? Each year as the student progress to different levels, add or drop various dance classes the total monthly tuition amount changes and we like to have a current form on file with what you have agreed to pay each month of the dance year.

Do I have to fill out more than one dancer payment method? Yes we will require that you complete a payment method form for each registration completed on-line. We will only keep one family form on file with the total monthly tuition amount to be charged. We are sorry that this can take a bit of time but we are trying to make it more customer friendly.

Observation week is coming up April 1st - April 7th

(Please note that the Saturday classes Observation day is Saturday April1st)
