What Are You Not Noticing?
I’ve run basically the same course around a local lake 2 or 3 times a week, every week for the last 6 years. The route takes me by the entrance to Children’s Fairyland, a fairy-tale themed children's park. There are a few landmarks I always notice- the lady in the shoe, the ‘Once Upon A Time Book.’ It’s a fun little place.
I recently noticed, for the first time, that one of the hedges is shaped (very obviously) like a dragon.
For six years I ran by that dragon and never once noticed it.
It just goes to show you, there is always something new to notice if take a moment and pay attention.
What do you see every day that you never really notice?

You’ve finished the marathon, now what? The steps you take (or don’t take) the afternoon of your race will greatly impact how you recover and how quickly you start to feel human again.
