So much is going on at BTC that we simply can't contain it anymore: the inception meeting of our Board, a Heritage Canada Grant, improvements to the website, and much more. Read on!
Importantly, and as you know, we've been focused on improving our comprehensive and patient-driven breast cancer information tool that allows patients to better navigate the labyrinth of medical terms and treatment pathways that accompany a diagnosis of breast cancer. We're now ready to test the next version of the tool.
The test day is set for April 30th. We really need your help to make this a success. Please join us on April 30!

You are cordially invited to join us Sunday, April 30th to help us test Version 1 of the Decision Tree. The last time we did this, your feedback helped us shape this version of the Tree. Now we need your help again as we ready the tool for public release on June 8th!
What: Be the Choice Cancer Tool Test Session
Who: All members of the public (over 18 years) are welcome; we especially welcome anyone diagnosed with breast cancer past or present and their care givers or supporters
When: Sunday April 30th; register for one 45-minute session anytime 10 am - 4 pm
Where: Maplesoft Center, Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, 1500 Alta Vista Drive in Ottawa (for map: click here)
Coffee, tea, and delicious snacks and pastries will be served.

This summer and fall, the website was thoroughly edited and our medical advisory board reviewed the content to ensure that the latest treatment information was included. We are currently having the portion related to preserving fertility reviewed by an outside organization that deals specifically with fertility options.

Be the Choice is honoured to receive a 2017-18 Enhancement of Official Languages and Promotion of Linguistic Duality grant from the Ministry of Heritage. This grant will enable us to translate all of our existing digital resources into French. We will be assessing how our bilingual tools can be useful to Francophone communities everywhere.

Meatings Barbeque Restaurant at 1790 Dunning Road in Ottawa was the place to be on Dec 31st, 2016. A warm thank you to owners Joey and Matt Flosse for their support of cancer patients everywhere.

BTC successfully concluded its inaugural board meeting with three inception Board members: Felicitas Adrian, Ronen Avram and Carolyn Nessim. The Board ratified and adopted the official bylaw of BTC as a non-profit corporation, and set its first Annual Meeting for June 8, in Ottawa.

JOIN US AS WE LAUNCH THE DECISION TREE
While the beta version of the Decision Tree is already available online, the final version will be introduced at our launch event on June 8, 2017. We would love for you to celebrate this important milestone with us.
