Happy first Sunday of spring, friends!
The creative minds at Made On 23rd strive each day to find and cultivate creativity from all facets; and not surprisingly, this is how we chose to approach our spring collection, Fresh Linen.
So why not look at the definition of 'spring' that way too? This week we want to share, who/what/where/when that our inspiration, 'originate[d] and arise[d] from' to complete our collection for, 'the season after winter and before summer, in which vegetation begins to appear.'
Or, in short...Scroll on to peak into where our spring collection inspiration springs from.
Inspiration for your home
Our Spring collection, Fresh Linen, was inspired by the thought: What would a mid century modern cottage look like? The vintage, soft, almost feminine, colors found in cottage design, set off with the bold architectural patterns found in mid century modern furniture designs...Intriguing, right? Upon this thought, we took off running; finding inspiring shapes from the 1950s through bold furniture lines, and balancing it with the warm feel of the cottage colors, and textural textiles like linen and Voile.

It was challenging to ensure these two polar opposite styles didn't feel disconnected, but that's what creativity and hard work are for, right? After a trial and error, racking our brains, and wondering if this is too crazy of an idea, we persevered until they evolved from an unlikely pairing, to meant to be.

As the two polar inspirations fused, the following are a few sneak peak designs forged for our spring collection.

A Note from Deb
Happy Sunday Everyone!
We are home from our adventures in China and Thailand and oh what fun we had! One of my favorite things about traveling....the food! It is such a big part of every culture; how it is prepared, how it is shared, and how local flavors are infused in every dish. Just look at the colors, and textures, and presentation of these beautiful dishes! I think I see a new color palette here!
I'm loving this travel quote today....
