Dufferin
Situation Table

What is the Situation Table?

  • The Situation Table is an evidence-based, risk driven collaborative intervention that assists individuals and families facing a situation of Acutely Elevated Risk
  • Using a collaborative community mobilization model designed to get in front of the identified potential crisis it is a tool for service providers
  • It is a brief and timely multi-agency response
  •
  • What it is not
  • It is not crisis response
  • It is not meant to replace existing services like child protection, 911 response or referral to Here 24/7
  • It is not case management and treatment planning

    Acutely Elevated Risk
  • The probability exists that a situation will, without intervention, quickly escalate to the point of crisis
  • The identified risk requires a multi-agency response
  • The potential crisis is high risk and will negatively impact the individual, family and/or the community system
