What a busy start to the year it's been for all the guys on site and in the office. We have had Tender after Tender being submitted, and now a few of them are being finalised. We have signed a contract last night and have another booked in for Wednesday night, which is good news.
Now that we have have 2 new projects, and possibly another 2 starting in the next 4 - 6 weeks, I have put out a memo to all our suppliers and social media followers to see if they can ask around for anyone interested in working for TCON Group.

Current Projects - Hawthorn and Toorak are both being fixed out with skirtings, architraves and doors and things are moving along right on time. The Cabinet Makers are both about to arrive on site and it's a race between the two projects to see who finishes first.
Over at Hawthorn, plaster is complete and our skylights are letting through a heap of natural light. The concrete in-fill slab is complete and will be grinded back and polished in a few weeks. The fix-out is being installed, the tiling is about to begin with the landscaping tying in simultaneously as well.
Toorak is progressing really well with the cabinet maker arriving tomorrow to begin his installation. Our Vanity units, built in robes and kitchen are going to finish off this house and then we can get the benchtops measured up and installed.

This month - The frames on the first 11 units have gone up, and we are just tidying up loose ends inside before the frame inspection next Monday. We will move across the walkway and start construction of the next 11 on Monday as well.
Overview - Working in collaboration with Cubo Group, we have been contracted to frame up, lock up and fix out 22 stunning townhouses in Thornbury. Designed by Miceli Oldfield Sinton Architects, these triple storey beauties will be sold quickly.

This Month - The Render is complete throughout, the concrete in fill slab has been installed and protected, plastering is being finalised and the carpentry fix out is on the way. Our landscaping crew are out the back working in the rain but when you have a deadline to meet, you need to push on rain, hail or shine.

Overview - Hawthorn is a second storey extension to a stunning 1930's semi detached clinker brick home. The rear two thirds of the home has been demolished to make way for a split level extension. Going down four steps into a light filled Family/Meals room with nice open plan and a view into the Northern entertaining area with swimming pool and deck. Upstairs we have 2 new spacious bedrooms, bathroom and built in robes.

This Month - Making good progress on this project in Toorak with the new Tas Oak staircase installed, plastering complete, carpentry fix out almost finished and the cabinet maker arriving. The tiling is going on in all the wet areas and the job is moving forward. We are paving out the front and back, and the painters are on site making sure that we are on track to finish this project
Overview - Toorak is a double fronted solid brick period home that we are demolishing the back north eastern quarter of the home, and putting a small 10m2 extension that will create a large entertaining area and kitchen. Once we head upstairs, the second storey will consist of two new large bedrooms, a walk-in-robe and ensuite.
