The Forum’s 13th Annual Conference, Creating and Sustaining the Education Abroad Continuum, is next week and we look forward to welcoming nearly 1,300 colleagues in Seattle! Don’t miss out on all that the Forum Conference has to offer: On-Site Registration
On-site conference registration and check-in will be open during the following hours:
  • Tuesday, March 28:  4-7 p.m.
  • Wednesday, March 29: 7 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 30: 7 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Friday, March 31: 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Register for the 8th Annual Standards Institute on Health & Safety

 
Registration for the Standards of Good Practice InstituteBeyond the Basics of Health, Safety, Security and Risk Management, is now open. The Institute will be held on Thursday, June 22 at the University of Texas, Austin.
 
Join colleagues for education abroad’s signature annual event focusing on the education abroad risk management issues faced daily by organizations and institutions. The practical, hands-on focus will include concurrent and plenary sessions that will assist participants to improve their institutional and organizational strategies for risk mitigation, and incident prevention and response.

New Literature in the Outcomes Toolbox Assessment Bibliography!

 
The Assessment Bibliography focuses on studies assessing education abroad outcomes with the aims of disseminating information to The Forum membership and encouraging new research and practice. New updates are added regularly by members of the Outcomes Assessment and Research Committee.

Preparing for The Forum's Annual Conference


Conference time is here! Get the most out of your attendance at The Forum’s Annual Conference in Seattle next week by following a few simple steps.
  • Download the app to plan your sessions and exhibit hall time in advance.
  • First timer? Meet new people and get oriented! Attend the Newcomer Session at 8 a.m. on Thursday morning.
  • Attend a variety of sessions. Think about how your attendance can benefit your future personal and career goals as well as the goals and needs of your office.
  • Be an active participant. Raise your hand. Get engaged and engage others.
  • Follow up. Reach out to people you met and keep the conversation going after you get home.
  • Don’t forget to thank your boss! Show them why your attendance was worth the time and money it cost the office.
