Today's Dose of Smile Therapy

Monday Giggler with a lesson

(Thanks to Bixler and Scherrer’s  ‘Take Action’)

A former Divisional president of IBM was sitting next to a new salesperson during breakfast at the annual conference. She struck up a conversation without recognizing him.

“These speakers have really been boring. You know how dull these things can be. I think I'm going to skip the keynote address by the new president. I’m dying to hit the beach. What about you?”

“Do you know who I am?” he asked her. “No I don’t,” she replied. “Well I’m the new president,” he answered.

“Do you know who I am?” she asked. “No I don’t,” he said.
“That’s good,”  she said in relief, as she slipped off her tag, and slid out of her seat.

Credit to the salesperson for thinking on her feet!
Moral: you never know who is in the room or who people know. Be careful of loose lips and potentially hazardous, gossipy comments to strangers.
