Unlock Potential as a mentor with Youth Frontiers. Volunteer Youth Mentors required to support students aged 13-15 to find their possible. Work with a young person 13-15 (approx. 2 hrs per week) to develop a unique community project. Full training and support provided.

We have successfully completed our first Cook. Eat. Yarn session The program is about getting young people from diverse backgrounds together to share stories and culture while learning to cook a few meals and then eating our yummy made food over a fancy dinner.

NCPHN Substance Misuse Program Expression of Interest

The North Coast Primary Health Network (NCPHN) is calling for expressions of interest to participate in the free 12 month Substance Misuse Program from organisations on the NSW North Coast who provide case management services in a range of services.

Successful applicants will have access to free alcohol and other drug (AOD) training and ongoing individual and group mentoring to support them to more effectively work with clients with substance use problems.

This year (2017-18) NCPHN is running the SMP out of Lismore and Coffs Harbour. Organisations may nominate more than one worker to attend the Program.

Tuning in to Kids Program: Emotionally Intelligent Parenting

Weekly from May | Free | Port Macquarie

Tuning in to Kids consists of six interactive group sessions for parents and is designed for all families with children aged 3-11 years.
The program teaches simple emotion coaching skills so parents can recognise, understand and respond to children’s emotions in an accepting, supportive way.
This approach helps promote emotional and social competence in children.

Grafton Headspace Update

A headspace centre will be established in Grafton. This announcement was made by the Hon Greg Hunt, Minister for Health, on 23 February during his visit to Grafton.

An Open Tender process will be used for the selection of the Lead Agency. The Tender will be released via Tenderlink. All organisations interested in this opportunity should register on Tenderlink, in order to recieve notification when the tender is released. The tender is expected to be released by mid-April.

NAIDOC Week Funding

Funding is available under the IAS Culture and Capability Programme to help communities to celebrate NAIDOC Week 2017. The NAIDOC local grant funding round is now open and the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (the Department) invites eligible applicants to submit applications for funding.

To apply for funding, applicants should:

1) Read the NAIDOC grants round Application Kit - PDF 29 KB 

2) Read the revised IAS grant guidelines

3) Complete and submit the online Application Form
