Here's an excellent place to begin!

Back To The Picture Gallery (934 Valencia @ 20th). The Mission Artists Spring Open Studios show is a rich mix of local works of art including BIG fearless ceramics, carefully crafted jewelry, provocative drawing, punchy printmaking, passionate paintings both figurative and abstract, and... some large loving eyeballs (trust me...)

The show will be up for the next two weeks, but come TONIGHT for the opening...Friday March 31 from 7 - 10pm. I'll know most of these artists and will be happy to introduce you...

At the opening you can also get a map like this one and then Saturday and Sunday you can visit these SAME artists in the mission district in their studios! Honest! Right where they actually make art! No fooling. So cool. I even know this guy (the one on the right) and can tell you where he makes his art.

It was an honor and a blessing to assemble this show. Thank you to all the artists who lend their hearts and their hands and make it happen. A special shout out to Derek at Back To The Picture and the hard working folks behind the scene at Mission Artists. Yay art and yay artists.
