Kids Club with Mariela – Bilingual Circle for Children
Meeting every Sunday morning, Mariela’s Music Time is an educational, energetic and interactive bilingual performance for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers and their families. It’s filled with rhythms and multicultural sounds, along with with the rich traditions of our Bay Area.   Experience social exposure in a fun and participative way through popular rounds, popular games, retahilas, and folk songs with Latin-American roots.

Cuban Rumba Jam
Come enjoy the Afro-Cuban folkloric drums, dances, and songs of rumba every 1st and 3rd Sunday! Rumba is the word used for a group of related, community-oriented, music and dance styles in Cuba. Rumba developed in rural Cuba, with strong influences from African drumming and Spanish poetry and singing.

Beginners Guide to
Mindfulness Meditation

The benefits of Mindfulness meditation are numerous and research suggests that it is associated with reduction in stress, improvement in overall health and well-being, decrease in depression and anxiety, improvement in sleep, and more. Students will leave this workshop with tangible tools to cultivate or deepen their own personal mindfulness practice, and incorporate mindfulness throughout their daily lives.

La Peña is proud to present the 2nd Annual Run 4 Salmon Panel & Benefit Show on Friday, April 14 at 8pm-12am. This event is an opportunity to hear an update from native activists and leaders on the current fight to preserve their lands, waters and lifeways.
