WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIVE! this evening in the Christian Life Center
5:30pm meal will be prepared by The Seekers Sunday School class. Menu: fried chicken, macaroni & cheese, salad, & dessert.
6:00pm program: Join us as we share in a time of learning and discussion with a student from a nearby high school as she talks about her experience as a beneficiary of the DACA program. DACA stands for "Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals," a program that allows certain undocumented young people brought to the United States as children to receive a renewable two-year period of deferred action from deportation and eligibility for a work permit. Learn more about how DACA impacts our local community. You will be inspired by the story of one local student who depends upon DACA.

Jad Taylor, Director of Youth Ministries and member of Clemson UMC, has expressed a sense of calling to ordained ministry in The United Methodist Church. Having met with Pastor Keith, the District Superintendent, and the Staff Parish Relations Committee, he is being recommended for certification as a candidate for ordained ministry. This recommendation requires approval from our church's Charge Conference, which includes all members of the Church Council. The district superintendent has authorized a meeting of our Charge Conference for Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 7:00pm for the purpose of endorsing Jad Taylor as a candidate for ordained ministry. All Church Council members shall have a vote at this meeting but anyone may attend. We will meet in the conference room (402) of the Christian Life Center. We celebrate Jad's commitment to the calling of God in his life!
