...and here are the Spring Classes!
Building Blocks Quarterly
Join us for a fun skill building class.  Each month, we'll knit up a square while learning different stitches and techniques.  Each quarterly class will create 3 different squares (one per month) which contribute to a full sized 12 square afghan.

Instructor:  Caroline Kerr
This class will be offered twice, choose:
Wednesdays 4/19/17, 5/17/17, and 6/21/17 (2-3:30pm) or
Saturdays 5/13/17, 6/10/17, and 7/15/17 (1-2:30pm)
Cost:  $50
Basic Slipper Sock
Knit from cuff to toe. This is a perfect way to learn to knit socks! Using a heavier weight yarn, there are fewer stitches, so each section works up quickly. The cuff includes an easy mock cable rib - no cable needle needed! The heel flap uses a garter edging that makes for quick pickups after turning the heel. Before you know it, you are at the toe ready for grafting with kitchener stitch.

Instructor:  Caroline Kerr
Class Meets:  Saturdays 04/29/2017, 05/06/2017, 05/13/2017, 5/20/2017 (10:00am - 11:30am)
Cost:  $60
Entrelac Baby Blanket
While the fabric may look complicated, Entrelac is merely a combination of knits and purls that yield a fabulous faux basket weave.  Entrelac can be knit with many colors, but I find it most intriguing when I keep it simple and select a pretty self striping or patterning yarn.  Don't have a baby to knit for?  Not to worry - this blanket can easily be adapted to any size!

Instructor:  Caroline Kerr
Class Meets:  Thursdays 5/4/17, 5/11/17, and 5/18/17 (10:30am-12pm)

Newer knitters this is for you!  Fluffy, airy, lacey, yet nearly indestructible!  This scarf combines a simple stitch pattern with two very different yarns to create a wonderful openwork effect.

Hitofude Lace Cardigan is a wonderful light, lacy cardigan that has a unique construction that makes it fun to make. The lace pattern and the construction work together to allow for fairly easy size adjustments – from a hip length  short sleeve cardigan to a long sleeve jacket, or in between.    In the first session you will begin to calculate how, if at all, you want to make those adjustments.    You will enjoy the knitting as much as wearing the Hitofude Lace Cardigan.

During this intensive class you will learn to warp on a warping board, dress and thread a multi-shaft loom, and weave tabby, twills, lace - and much more! In the process, you will make a set of 4 placemats, 2 sets of coasters (12 total!) and a beautiful lace scarf. Working on an Ashford 4-harness table loom will allow you to gain an understanding of how interlacements can form the gorgeous hand-woven fabric we have all seen and coveted.

Class registration includes the yarn for all class projects. A "loaner" 4 harness loom will be provided for students for the duration of the class. Students will be responsible for transporting the folding table loom to and from home for project completion.
