Put a Spring in Your Step this April

Spring has sprung, and that means longer days, more sunshine, and plenty of opportunities to get outside and get active. Immobility and inactivity are risk factors for dangerous blood clots, and making physical activity a regular part of your day or week is a great way to help prevent them. Whether you spend time just strolling around your neighborhood, or you're more adventurous and prefer to jog, hike, or bike longer distances, the more you move the better you are likely to feel. Don't take our word for it, read for yourself the Surgeon General's new Call to Action to Promote Walking and Walkable Communities here: Step it Up!

A new online resource created by NBCA, in partnership with ProPatient.com, provides caregivers with the information they need to know. Read more here: Caregiver Program.
Join NBCA and Janssen for 100 Days of Blood Clot Awareness, and view stories of NASCAR® driver Brian Vickers and World Champion Swimmer Katie Hoff to support our mission.
Thank you to our Faces of Blood Clots team for raising over $4,000 during BCAM. It's not too late to join this special fundraising team. Get the details here: Faces of Blood Clots
Roland Varga, the Clot Buster Blogger, is NBCA's April Volunteer of the Month. Read his story here, and find out how you can get your own Clot Buster racing polka dot gear.
