To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity." - 2 Peter 3:18

Lesson 2009: Resurrection Evidence, Pt.2

Consider the dramatic transformation & conversion of James, of Paul, of many Jerusalem priests. Acts 6:7

Christianity, believing Jesus rose from the dead, became a religion separate from Judaism.

They changed the Jewish Saturday Sabbath to the Christian Sunday Lord’s Day, a weekly celebration of the resurrection.

Something extremely significant caused these changes.

Discrepancies between the Gospels actually support authenticity.

The fact that they were not edited out shows the honesty of the Early Church; there was no attempt to dream up an “official” version of what happened. Eyewitnesses often report the same event with different perspectives.

Many saved after careful examination of the Gospels: Josh McDowell, C.S. Lewis, Lee Strobel

Why would the story honor Joseph of Arimathea (of the Sanhedrin that voted to kill Jesus, a man who did the right thing while all the male disciples deserted Jesus)?
