50 top names in Agri-Food, Horticulture and Forestry industries participate in the annual Land Sciences Careers Day for WIT students. Students and companies in attendance heard that there is a need for approx. 1,000 candidates to ‘sustain’ the sector. Read more

Ciphertechs recruiting in response to growing online security threats
Cyber security is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the global technology industry resulting in a global talent gap for cyber professionals. CipherTechs is a New York based information security services provider whose Europe, Middle East, Asia (EMEA)  operations are headquartered in Kilkenny. In the last month alone they have recruited an additional three Security Intelligence Analysts and expect to fill a further five roles during 2017. Read more here

Promoting Stem initiatives through collaboration between schools and industry 
Presentation Secondary School, Clonmel and the Boston Scientific Women's Network have recently joined forces to bring computer coding to life in the school. This collaboration project will give students access to computer Science and thereafter to STEM related careers. Read more about this collaboration here

Wexford Hotels link up with WWETB for Hospitality Skills
18 learners with no prior experience in hospitality are completing a pilot 'Hospitality Training Programme' organised in Wexford by Waterford/Wexford ETB. This programme is designed to equip the learner with the necessary knowledge and skills to work effectively within the hospitality industry.
