Thank You to Our Amazing Volunteers!

Now that the Cookie Program has wrapped up for another year, we wanted to take some time to thank all of you for the hard work and dedication that you show every year to help girls be a part of the biggest girl-led business in the world.

Without adult volunteers like you, our girls would not be learning about goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics. Thank you for setting good examples and teaching them how to be leaders!

Final Auto-Withdrawal: April 4

The final auto-withdrawal, which will withdraw the remaining balance due to the council for all cookies received during the 2017 Cookie Program from troop bank accounts, will take place on April 4.

If you have not received your auto-withdrawal email containing the total amount to be withdrawn, please contact info@gsiowa.org with the subject line “Missing Auto-Withdrawal Email” for quicker processing.

Girl Shortage Form Deadline Extended

The Girl Shortage Form submission deadline has been extended until April 4. If there is a specific girl/family who has not paid for the cookies they have taken, you must submit a Girl Shortage Form so that the troop is not held financially liable for those cookies.

You will need to provide the signed Product Program Permission Form for each girl with a shortage, and include any and all documentation proving acceptance of product by the family. Any forms that are submitted after April 4 will not be considered.

When to Expect Cookie Dough & Recognitions

Cookie Dough will be distributed by the end of April. Cookie Dough will be sent directly to girls with family email addresses on file; those without will have a hard copy mailed to them.

Recognition items will be sent to Service Unit Product Chairs (SUPCs) by the end of April.  They will receive all recognition items for troops and Juliettes from ABC Bakers. Be sure to note any missing or damaged items, then sign and email the packing slip to info@gsiowa.org within three days of receiving items.

Troop Product Managers (TPMs) – be sure to get a receipt and keep a copy for yourself when picking up recognition items. Do not distribute recognitions to girls with an outstanding balance or a missing Product Program Permission Form; these recognitions should be sent back to a council leadership center.

We will be sending out more information directly to girls and troops who have earned experiences, such as Adventureland and Mud Run, with more details in the next few weeks.
