Changes to Sunday Morning Breakfasts
With Vestry approval and with an eye to cutting costs wherever possible, beginning immediately, the Sunday morning breakfasts need to be cut back to serving the following:

Grits
Eggs
One meat (either bacon or sausage, not both)
One bread (either toast, Eng. muffin, or biscuit)
Fruit
Juice, coffee

This eliminates fried potatoes, sausage gravy, and two b
reads.  The potatoes can be substituted for the grits periodically. The cost will remain the same at $5.00

Are You Interested in Becoming an Usher?

We are currently in need of ushers.  Ushers at St. John’s participate in a very rewarding ministry at the church.  In addition to serving at the 10:30 Sunday morning services, ushers are also needed at funerals and other scheduled church services.  Ushers are scheduled on a monthly basis and serve approximately once every 4-6 weeks. Training will be provided.   If you are interested in becoming an usher, contact Judy Brown at jtbrown@nc.rr.com.

New acolytes wanted!

We are looking for young people who wish to be a part of the worship service.  As acolytes, youth learn to cultivate leadership and responsibility. We encourage everyone in 4th through 12th grade to participate, and training will be provided.  Please speak with your child about this very important ministry.
