While persistent activism is working to block Trump's agenda in Congress, many states are already implementing his agenda - banning sanctuary cities, enacting voter suppression laws, and restricting reproductive and LGBTQ rights. We can resist this agenda at every level of government and put in place policies that protect communities from harm.

Your voice is urgently needed: most states will decide which bills become law and which do not within the next two months. OurStates provides guidance and tools to help you influence these decisions.

• Review the bills that are currently being considered in your state. On our site, you can find legislation your state lawmakers are considering for the issues of immigration, policing/protest, voting rights, reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, and economic justice.
• Learn what state legislatures have the power to do and why state-level advocacy is important.
• Use our Advocacy Tool to call your state representatives, meet with them, and convince them to reject harmful legislation and support bills that protect marginalized communities.
• Sign up to join a group of learners, builders, and activists to coordinate state-level advocacy campaigns.
