Nine objects, designed from nine different materials, united by one colour – this set of ‘building blocks’ for interior design comes in black exclusively.

Colours are continuously subject to change. To visualize these dynamics, layered primary colours were printed and, using a hi-end simulator, exposed to a variable amount of sunlight. This creates unexpected shades and combinations – a research into the aesthetics of fading.

RENS (Renee Mennen and Stefanie van Keijsteren) is a research-based design studio. From Eindhoven (the Netherlands) the duo initiates projects in which colour often plays a key role.
