Last Tax Workshop, Friday, March 31

2016 Tax Return: Must mail by April 18, 2017

If you were physically in the U.S. in F or J status anytime between January 1 - December 31, 2016 (even one day!) you're required to send at least one form to the U.S. tax agency IRS (Internal Revenue Service), even if you had no income. We provide resources for you to comply with your federal and state tax obligations.

The last of three Tax Workshops is on Friday, March 31. Can’t make it? You can see a webinar of the workshop, broken into short segments by topic. Read about the basics of the U.S. Tax System and Filing Your Nonresident Tax Return with Sprintax. When you log into Sprintax from our webpage, your federal forms are free. You will need to use your UNI and password to access Sprintax and create an account.

Final Term Reminders

If this is your final term, make sure you are informed about deadlines attendant to your May 17th completion date. Plan ahead! Check our Final Term Reminders page for information, and things to keep in mind, including:

ISSO Transition to Compass

You will now be able to make requests for most of the things you need, such as OPT or an extension, online with a secure upload for the required documents. Always follow the particular application instructions from the ISSO website to login to Compass and submit your request.
