SUNDAY SERMON
LOOK FOR

Ladies we are excited to invite you to join us Saturday, April 1st from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Fireside room for a Potluck lunch and a time of food, fun, and fellowship. We will  be celebrating all God did in 2016 and sharing some new exciting plans we have for Northside Women in 2017.

Please RSVP so we know how many to expect. I hope to see you all there as we celebrate 2016 and look forward to all God has in store for 2017.

SHHH...Bob Johnson's 90th birthday is right around the corner!
Bob has been such a pillar here at Northside, and we would love to honor him on this special birthday. If Bob has touched your life in anyway, please feel free to fill out a birthday card, include a favorite memory, and give it to him on Sunday, April 9th. Lets let Bob know just how cherished he is.

Thrive: Bible Lecture Series
Venture with us as we continue to broach more tough biblical questions. 
This month we are inviting you to explore a biblical prospective of social justice and what that looks like for us today. We will be welcoming Steve Sherwood as our guest speaker. Steve is a full time professor at George Fox University who is a frequent, popular campus chapel speaker, and who also leads a variety of seminars and discussions across campus for students and faculty.

In 2016, Northside prayed for healing during every Sunday service. We believe in the power and partnership with God in prayer, and want to continue our prayers together for healing. 
Join us as we engage in a 24 Hour Call to Prayer. Pray right where you are or come use our Sanctuary. 
 
We will also have a focused time of healing prayer every Saturday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the Sanctuary.

*April 15th from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm prayer will be in the conference room.

A Christ-Centered 12-step Program

Do you struggle with:
  • financial issues 
  • anger 
  • codependency
  • past abuse issues 
  • chemical addiction
  • food addiction 
  • or any other hurts, habits or hang-ups?
This group will help you work through your issues God’s way.

 
CR Needs Volunteers

Do you like holding babies, playing with toddlers, and just loving on kids? We are looking for some volunteers to help with little ones ages 0 - 4 on Monday nights during Celebrate Recovery. If interested, please contact Karen Henry at purpleladyklh@gmail.com or 503-522-5695.

We would like to invite you to a monthly luncheon, hosted by the Northside Seniors, in the Fireside Room after church. This luncheon takes place on the third Sunday of each month, and the whole church is invited. So if you are hungry, come enjoy.
*Our April Lunch is on April 9th due to Easter

Restoration Ministries
This poem was written by someone who has received life changing healing through Restorative Prayer:

​Tears fall from a broken heart
Wounded​ by the lies
Truth brings restoration
Replacing the disguise

Northside Softball League
Are you interested in playing on a Northside softball team? If you are over the age of 16 and would like to play, contact Jim McGurl at jmcgurl3@gmail.com.

League begins the week of May 16 and goes till August
Games will most likely be Tuesday nights
Cost: $40 in-district, $50 out-of-district
Open to anyone over the age of 16 (male or female)
Must have at least 12 participants on the roster

 
CERT Training
The Community Emergency Response Team program educates participants about disaster preparedness and trains them in basic disaster response skills. The subjects for this training will be:
  • Emergency Preparedness
  • Fire Suppression and Utility Control
  • Incident Command System
  • Light Search and Rescue
  • Disaster Medical Response
  • Disaster Psychology
  • Terrorism Awareness
Thursday, April 13, from 6:30 to 9:30 PM is the initial meeting for this 9 week class.
