Talent Show Signups Still Open!

Thursday, May 11, 2017 6:30 p.m. MPR

We still have room for more signups, if you and your child are interested, let us know. The first practice is this Thursday, April 13th 6:30 pm in the MPR.

A hush falls over the audience as the lights dim. The curtain opens, and the Superstar stands motionless in the spotlight. Cue music, and a beautiful voice fills the auditorium with song...

Is this your kid? Of course it is! Our children are all superstars, and what better way to celebrate their talents than to give them a stage and a loving audience? The Madera Talent show is starting signups NOW for this year's show on May 11. Auditions and practice sessions will take place on Thursdays in April and May (4/13, 4/20, 4/27, 5/4). All talents and skills are welcome, from gymnastics to songs to death defying feats of courage (ok maybe not death defying). We also need parent and student volunteers to help us run the show.

Please email Kevin Gauna at k@sunbrothers.com if you or your child is interested in being part of this amazing, incredible, EARTH  SHATTERING SHOW! Signups are due by the first practice on 4/13, and plan to attend the first practice.

Why Participate in Science Fair?

Setting the Stage for Learning Later

Madera's annual science fair helps prepare our kids as they head to middle and high school.  This year due to the cancellation of the San Francisco Bay Area Science Fair (Intel affiliated), several Korematsu and El Cerrito High students participated in the Contra Costa County Science and Engineering Fair (Intel affiliated) and took home various prizes. You may recognize several names in there as they are Madera alums.
