Baptisms and Bible School in Suriname!

Record Attendance in Newest Congregation
In March our newest congregation, New Hope UPC in Paramaribo, hosted Friend Sunday. It was great to have a new record attendance of 72 people, with 20 first-time visitors.

Bible School
Pentecostal Bible School of Suriname is on the move. Ten students in the capital city recently completed a 30 hour course titled Pentecostal Doctrine. Plans are being made to begin classes in at least two other locations later this year.

Baptisms
People are responding to the Word of God and being baptized in Jesus' name.

In February Pastor Edwards baptized five people in Nieuw Nickerie.
Last month we reported a Bible study in progress by our translator in Paramaribo. As a result, a lady and her two daughters were baptized on March 23. The same week another young lady was baptized as well.

Visit to Nieuw Nickerie
On March 25-26 we visited Pastor and Sister Edwards and the congregation in Nieuw Nickerie. In addition to services Saturday and Sunday, a meeting was held where plans were made for upcoming UPC of Suriname events.
