Spring Is Sprung(ish)!
Yes, it's officially spring, and we're slowly beginning to emerge from our hibernation/hiatus!
This Saturday, we'll be playing a show with our good friend Joanne Lurgio. Joanne's a fantastic singer, songwriter, and musician, and a staple of the Rhode Island music scene. We'll be trading sets at the Church Street Coffeehouse, located at 25 Church Street in gorgeous Warren, Rhode Island. Warren has much in the way of sights, shopping, and food, so we recommend heading there early and making a day of it! The show starts at 7:30, and is $12 at the door.
We have a few shows next month, including returns to local favorite The Grange and the marvelous campfire.festival at Club Passim. And we've both been writing during our little break, so are working on cooking up some new songs for your enjoyment.
And if you're in the mood for something completely different, you can learn about some of Tracie's not-so-folky early songwriting by checking out Monica! The Podcast. In this podcast, Tracie and her friend and collaborator Daniel J. Rogge relive the five years in which they wrote and developed a musical about the Clinton/Lewinsky scandal. Yes, that actually happened! If you're interested in any of the following -- a) the creative process; b) things that are funny; c) musical theater; d) politics (loosely); e) insanely catchy earworm songs -- then this is just the thing for you! Monica! The Podcast is available on iTunes, Stitcher, TuneIn, and you can also stream it online.
Thanks as always for your support, and we hope to see you soon!
OXOXOX,
Tracie & Steve
