What's Up at the Colonial Theater 


Located in the heart of the city of Keene, New Hampshire, on Main Street, the Colonial Theater quickly became a focal point for the arts. Owner Charles Baldwin proudly called it “New England’s most modern and perfectly appointed theater.” Over the years, the Colonial has hosted movies, vaudeville shows, operas and numerous community events.

Dinosaurs After Dark!

 
Adapted from the book of the same title by Mary Pope Osborne, Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark ids is a fantasy adventure through time, performed by MoCo Arts. Jack and Annie’s tree house transports them back in time to the ages of the dinosaurs, where the siblings courageously learn that things are not always what they seem.

Join Matt Patterson for an art show of framed originals and prints from his beautiful new book, “The Snake and the Salamander.” Covering 13 states from Maine to Virginia, the book showcases the lies of 83 species of snakes, lizards, turtles, frogs and salamanders through a combination of engaging prose and original color artwork. Hilarious and heart-wrenching, A Gift of Madness is a solo play with song and masks, written and performed by singer/actress/poet Nancy Knowles. A Gift of Madness is two gritty creative women swinging fists at fate and thumbing noses at demons. A witness survivor of sibling suicide, Knowles engineers her own thriving while pondering how her mother, stalked by loss, pulled off hers.

Calling All Artists


Arts Alive and the Hannah Grimes Center host another Artist to artist workshop: A panel discussion and Q&A on how to work with local and small boutique retailers. Attendees will learn about how to prepare their work for a retail settling, how to approach a retailer, and how to maintain their product in a retail settling. Presenters will include Camellia Sousa from Sharon Arts Center, and Molly Taflas of the Hannah Grimes Marketplace.
