This Sunday is Palm (Fern) Sunday! Palm frond collection can damage fragile rainforest ecosystems. In ancient Jerusalem palms were on hand, here we have an abundance of ferns. Members of our congregation bring fern fronds from their gardens to help celebrate Palm Sunday.
After church this Sunday: Adults The Faithful Citizen series concludes with a discussion of Global Health and the elements of healthy communities in the industrialized and globalized world led by Kelcie Vitro. Children Gather upstairs with Sabina to color Easter Eggs and learn about Easter and why we celebrate.
Youth Movie Night @ 6 p.m. this Sunday Both youth groups will be watching and discussing Kubo and the Two Strings. There will be snacks.
Good Friday Community Worship @ MPC April 14, 7 p.m. Gather with our neighbors from St. John the Evangelist Episcopal, Milwaukie Lutheran and King of Kings Lutheran for a contemplative candlelight service.
April 15: Outdoor Cleanup @ 9 a.m.; Flowering of the Cross @ 10 a.m. Bring flowers and greens to help flower the cross for Easter. Bring gloves and tools to help tend the grounds.
Easter Hot Cross Buns & Brunch Bring hot cross buns or a brunch dish to share during coffee fellowship following worship.
Easter Egg Hunt Youth are asked to come before worship @ 9:30 on Easter Sunday to hide eggs for the Egg Hunt during fellowship. All children are invited to participate. Kids are encouraged to bring their baskets!
Stewardship Lunch, April 23 at 11:30 a.m. Gather to share stories and engage in a conversation about what we envision creating together as a church community.
Art Party for All Ages April 30 after worship. Come enjoy crafts, plentiful art supplies to start your own project, and there are still many opportunities to help our community as they create art. Contact Sabina for details.
