Hello <<First Name>>

HAPPY SPRINGTIME!
April showers and sunshine (and when it's shining it sure it shining!)

I have been lucky enough to play some wonderful gigs lately which you can read about below, but before that, here is some upcoming gig news as the tour continues...
basically, I made some posters and I wanted to share them with you!

TONIGHT

- I will be playing a sort set for their special show on Friday 7th Apri
(tickets ONLY available on the door)

and next Thursday 13th April I will be playing TANK in Gloucester Quays

then back at The Daffodil in Cheltenham with my beautiful band of brilliance
and then solo again for The Vault in Nailsworth

in May, if you are in London and fancy lunch at the Royal Albert Hall, I am playing Verdi, their Italian Kitchen, at midday on Friday 12th May
and then, June I head down to Devon to play B-Bar at the Barbican Theatre in Plymouth

also, guess who’s back playing Wychwood Festival this year!
I’ll be playing the Hobgoblin Stage on Saturday 3rd June at 3pm
- you can grab yourself tickets for the festival here:

in other notsobignews...
Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham
had the most special night, packed into the intimate studio with so many familiar friendly faces in the audience. Tom on drums, virtuoso and occasional banter-filled as ever, bravo! and a huge thank you/well done to Zak Raynard for stepping in at the last minute to play some stonking bass. Super! Felt good to be back with a band, making a great sound for an enthusiastic crowd - very special moments including bringing ‘Hold On’ and ‘Hamish’ both back into the set!
Plus I found ‘A-Lone Boy’ a band arrangement which sounded awesome! Going for that indie sound of bands like The Strokes, the music slotted into place sonically in my head and I have a much better idea of how I will record it… yay!
THANK YOU to all the notsobigfans who came out to see me back in the theatre
we rocked!
The Stables, Milton Keynes
off down to Milton Keynes
to play The Stables - what a gorgeous and lovely crowd, only one of which had ever been to a G show before (thank you Alistair for spreading the word of the show)! Most heartening to play a city for the first time and see kind new faces enjoying what I do. Very big thank you to the most warm and welcoming staff for looking after us so beautifully with tasty sandwiches and teas backstage!
Great night!!
The Frog & Fiddle, Cheltenham - supporting Della Lupa
it was fantastic to be asked to support the talented Della Lupa on her March tour for her Cheltenham date at The Frog and Fiddle - last time I played with Steph was at The Cheltenham Underground Secret House show a couple years ago! -
we had a fun show at The Frog with my very own "backing dancer(s)" form the audience who bust some serious spontaneous moves throughout the set - it's hard to sing in falsetto when you are trying not to chuckle... Thank You folks!
side note: Louis (loopstation) decided to die that night - he has been struggling with the mic connection for some time but on 21st March 9pm (after working fine at soundcheck) he handed me the "NOPE" card... he is out for repair now and will be back to his usual running in circles soon!
Boston Tea Party + Cafe Rene
also played two really fun low key shows at Boston Tea Part in Cheltenham in aid of the Butterfly Garden Charity and Cafe Rene in Gloucester - great venues and people and nice to play a few sets with just Gloria and no loopy frills (sorry Louis!) an older song of mine, ‘Otto Orange’ seems to be finding its way onto my setlist a lot lately… blues-tastic!
Verified on Spotify

finally I just wanted to say a very large thank you as we made it over 250 followers on Spotify and I am now verified - huzzah! that's right, I am ME!

really appreciate you coming along to see these recent live shows and especially the lovely folks who buy copies of Curiouser on CD or come over to say hi when I am packing up, I love being able to thank you properly and personally for being there and supporting live music! always lovely to see friendly familiar faces too, thank you

wishing you a fantastic Friday and wonderful weekend in the sunshine

ciao
