ANALYZE BOSTON HAS LAUNCHED!
Yesterday marked the official launch of Analyze Boston, Boston's new open data hub. We'd like to thank General Assembly for hosting us last night as part of their Talk Data to Me series – and a special thanks to all of you who came out to help us celebrate! Check out our Twitter feed @AnalyzeBoston for a recap of the evening's festivities.

We're kicking off the next chapter for open data in Boston with the release of two new datasets:

The Analyze Boston Open Data Challenge has begun! The goal of this month-long competition is to solve real-world problems in the city by creating projects built on Analyze Boston data.

We welcome teams and individual participants with a wide range of skill sets and specialities to select one of the following challenge tracks:
  • TRACK 1: Reducing Boston’s Carbon Footprint
  • TRACK 2: Making Open Data Local
  • TRACK 3: Identifying Fire Hazards
  • TRACK 4: Learning More from BuildBPS Data
  • TRACK 5: Telling a Story Through Data
Participants are invited to submit visualizations, models, analyses, applications, or anything else you can think of that responds to the prompts. Creativity are risk-taking are encouraged.

The challenge will culminate in an all-day event on SATURDAY, MAY 6TH, where we will host workshops, showcase projects, and award prizes!
