Show and Tell Gospel

On Saturday, April 29 we anticipate about 7,000 people putting aside their differences and busy lives to gather together to serve and give back to their respective communities. We call it our “Unite for Cities” event and it will include people from all sectors of our community: local businesses, city government, public school families, faith communities, sports teams, scouting clubs, CSUF, Fullerton College and local residents. EvFree family—join us and let’s get outside the walls of the church and take our service into the community as an act of worship, showing and telling to all who will listen, that following Jesus is the best way to live life!

We believe good friends serving together doing good deeds creates good will in our community and opens the door to bring the good news of Jesus to all who will listen. Someone once wisely said that the church is the only organization that exists for its non-members. Friends, this strategy works. While this is only a day (a great day by the way), it opens the doors to make a difference during the other 364 days of the year...

Congregational Meeting Recap

On Sunday, April 2 our Elder and Search Team hosted a Congregational Meeting to meet with our candidate for Senior Pastor, Darin McWatters. We began with a warm and endearing video of Darin’s announcement at Arbor Road church. It was wonderful to hear their Senior Pastor Brent Eldridge talk with Darin about his ministry at that church. The Search Team then shared at length about the process for selecting Darin, followed by Darin sharing his heart for ministry and EvFree. It was so helpful to hear how God was moving them at each step. This was followed by a time of Q&A with Darin. Watch the videos of the meeting below.

Extra Parking Available Sunday

We’re excited to welcome our Senior Pastor candidate, Darin McWatters, this Sunday and are expecting a larger than normal attendance this Sunday and next. This will likely have an impact on parking spaces available in our parking structure. Our neighbors at Beechwood Elementary School have graciously offered their parking lot to us for overflow parking. Shuttles will run between Beechwood and EvFree between 8:00am–12:45pm with drop off in front of the chapel. To alleviate some of the traffic, please consider using that option. If the parking structure becomes full, all vehicles will be directed to Beechwood. Click here for a map to Beechwood.
