Dear Friends ~
Please join our global community via teleconference for the April Full Moon Earth Treasure Vase Meditation and strengthen your practice of subtle sacred activism by sending your prayers and intentions for global healing around the planet. The meditation and virtual ceremony is led by Cynthia Jurs of the Earth Treasure Vase Global Healing Project, and David Nicol of the Gaiafield Project. In his beautiful book, “Love Letter to the Earth”, Thich Nhat Hanh writes,
 “For us to survive, both as individuals and as a species, we need a revolution of consciousness. It can start with our collective awakening. Looking deeply, with mindfulness and concentration, we can see that we are the Earth and, with this insight, love and understanding will be born.”
When I met Charok Rinpoche, the Lama who gave me the practice of the ETVs, his first words to me when I asked him how we could bring healing and protection to the Earth were, “Even just one person practicing deeply can bring benefit to the whole area where they live.”
Our meditation practice every full moon is an opportunity to have an impact in our world. By engaging directly with our most heartfelt intentions for the Earth, and sending these out as a prayer, we can begin to experience how this act of subtle activism ripples out to benefit the whole region in all kinds of ways. Thich Nhat Hanh is calling for a “new cosmic religion that restores the balance of life on Earth”. This is the great work of our time and “even just one person” has an effect.
We have chosen to do this meditation at the time of the full moon based on the Earth’s rhythm, not our own. The rhythms of nature provide us with a natural calendar to align with, and when we do, we can find our way back into harmony with ourselves and with the Earth. Once a month, we can align with something so much larger than ourselves and re-orient to the larger whole. Let's not miss the moment!

The full moon is also a time when, according to many spiritual traditions, the effects of our prayers and meditations are multiplied many thousand-fold. This full moon moment is shared all around the planet no matter what time zone you are in – it is an auspicious moment of potent global unity. We encourage you to participate on the live call and be part of realizing the power of unity when we all come together at the same time.
One regular participant who is committed to being on the live call recently commented that because the meditation is so helpful and inspiring, he likes to be able to listen to the recording and reconnect with the practice at other times during the month. So although we hope most of you will join us on the live call, we will continue to offer the recordings.

During our sharing at the end of last month’s call, many people commented on the importance of nuclear guardianship in various parts of the country and the world. Someone also shared her insight about being a holy vessel – a notion which everyone seemed to resonate with.
