Spring has arrived!
The days are getting longer and warmer and tulips are blooming.  While we didn't have much of a winter here, we are still very happy to welcome spring and looking forward to our upcoming shows.
As always, we are working on new products and keeping busy.
We have started hosting Party-In-A-Bowl fundraising parties.  Our next one is on April 21st and will benefit Meals on Wheels.  (Our last fundraiser went to benefit refugees who are stranded in camps and shelters in Indonesia.)  For just $5, you are invited to taste a variety of dips and appetizers, salads, and entrees made with our dip mixes.  Of course, we will also have wine slushies and desserts to sample, too.   Our pottery and dips will be available for purchase and a portion of the proceeds collected will be donated to this most worthy cause.  Please RSVP to info@ArtistsAtHeart.com.  Mark your calendars and bring some friends for a great evening. - just be sure to come hungry!

Stone of the month:

Howlite
This months stone hails from the mines of Nova Scotia.   Discovered in 1868 by Henry How, the stone was declared a nuisance by fellow miners.  Thankfully it was recognized for its decorative purposes and we can enjoy its beautiful veining patterns in all types of jewelry.  The stone is somewhat of a chameleon.   Because of its porous nature, it can absorb dye to look like turquoise or coral.  In some circles the stone is known for is calming effect and the ability to relieve stress.  It is also said if you keep one of these stones in your pocket it will absorb anger from others.

You can see some of our jewelry creations at our Etsy store.
Fun with Scouts.  We had a great time with some girl scouts from the Nazareth area on Saturday - making owls and pinch pot pencil holders.

Our pie plates are the berry best!

Your berry best pie will taste even better when served in one of our beautiful stoneware pie plates.  Sturdy enough to be piled high with loads of fruit, this pie plate will get a lot of use at family picnics and potlucks.  After the last piece is served make sure it comes home with you! (Unless you want to give the hostess a really nice gift.) These dishes are dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe.
