The Ohio State University
April 18, 2017
Mike Hofherr

We are in the home stretch of the academic year and that means it is time for our annual Innovate conference! The conference is one of the events I look forward to most each year as I get to discuss all of the inspirational work happening across Ohio State. Speaking of inspiring, we were honored to host Ohio Science Olympiad state tournament again this year and see the remarkable middle and high school STEM students from across Ohio. This month we also launched Vita (the university's new scholarly activity tool) and released a update of The Ohio State mobile app - both of which have simpler and more intuitive features that I think you will enjoy.

Beyond the Classroom

Creating a Meaningful Online Student Experience

As higher education professionals, we understand that the quality of a student’s experience is more than just academics. But what are we doing to provide value beyond the classroom? Ohio State’s online Master of Social Work program focuses not only on the experience students have in the classroom, but also outside the classroom. Hear how the College of Social Work is helping its online students to apply what they’ve learned and to feel a part of the Buckeye community.
