March at Usability24/7

Welcome to the April edition of our newsletter and another opportunity to read about the best in UX from around the World. We are always interested to hear about new stories from the UX community so if you have come across something you feel is worthy of being shared please let me know and we may well feature it.

As I alluded to last time, we have had a very busy month with a number of projects in planning, delivery or presentation stages. Our work has included generative, formative and summative studies; so the full cycle of requirements - it has been like four seasons in one day. OK not really but you get the idea.

One very large project that ran for most of March was on enterprise collaboration software involving business users including administrators, operations people and even Board Directors. It was great to learn about how people are collaborating within their organisations facilitated (or not) by new technology. It was also nice to see this type of software getting the investment in research - I know of many, many intranets that never got anywhere near user research - may they rest in peace!

We are off to Germany next month for some user research, plus a comparison study (which are always fascinating) and lots of prototype testing. It should be fun.

Thanks for reading.
Paul
