The Phoenix Mayor’s Commission on Disability Issues issued a survey summary report, which points to a need for increased police training and treatment options for individuals experiencing mental illness, both identified as major concerns for both Phoenix police officers and residents.
The Phoenix Mayor’s Commission on Disability Issues and the city of Phoenix Equal Opportunity Department will lead a question-and-answer session at a Crisis Response Public Forum, which will take place from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 10, at Steele Indian School Park at Memorial Hall.
