To Everyone at Lakeside Leisure Village,
We have purchased two defibrillators for Lakeside, which will be installed in the Community Hall/Library and in the office, early next week. The one in the Community Hall/Library will be installed in an alarmed cabinet on the wall for use in a medical emergency. Please do not open the cabinet unless you need to use the defibrillator, as this will set the alarm off.
We have posted instructions on our website under "Defibrillator Video Link", there are also written instructions in both the hall and the Barn for you to read. A copy will also be available in the office, and you are welcome to come to the office to watch the video link if you do not have access to a computer. If you are unsure, all our staff are trained to use them.
Of course this does not replace calling 000 in any medical emergency, this should always be your first step.
These defibrillators have been installed for the well being of all the people living in Lakeside, please use them responsibly.
