URec’s Month of Motivation!  
 
 URec is hosting a series of #MotivationMonday contests this month! A new prize will be up for grabs each Monday in April.
 
How the contests will work:
  1. Each Monday, URec will publish a contest post on Facebook.
  2. Participants will respond to the question asked in the post by leaving an answer in the comments.
  3. All participants will be entered into a random draw!

Not on Facebook? You will be able to fill out a ballot in person at the
Membership Services desk.

 
Rules and regulations:
Maximum of one entry per person, per week.
There will be one winner per week. The winner will be drawn at random.
The winner will be announced each Tuesday

Group Fitness

The current Group Fitness schedule will continue until the end of April! 

Students: these classes are a great (free!) way to help ease the stress of exams and re-energize yourself after long study sessions!  

Invigorate yourself with a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) class, an indoor cycling class or one of our popular Bootcamp classes.  

If you’re looking for something a little more relaxing, then try one of our two Yoga classes, Simple Stretch or Flex & Flow! 

Expect to see the new spring schedule later this month! 

Note: there will be no Group Fitness classes on Good Friday (April 14)
or Easter Monday (April 17). 

 


Fee-Based Programs

Registration for Spring Fee-Based Programs opens on Monday, April 3! We are happy to offer a variety of classes, such as Capoeira, Yoga, Boxing, Pilates, and more! 

Mark your calendars for Drop-In Week (May 1 - May 4). During Drop-In Week, anyone can try out a General Population class for free! Drop-in spaces are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Note: there will be no Fee-Based classes on Good Friday (April 14)
or Easter Monday (April 17). 

Love My Low Back Workshop
presented by Lindsey Laidlaw

Day/Time: Saturday, April 8, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Fees: $32.50(M); $38 (NM) plus HST

 
This fun and practical workshop will help you identify and address physical habits, common thought patterns, and beliefs systems that have prevented you from moving well. Learn how to improve body awareness and efficient methods for creating a strong core.   
 
After attending the workshop you will receive a video of exercises to continue your own home practice!

Friday, April 14: 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Saturday, April 15: 8 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Sunday, April 16: 8 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Monday, April 17: 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Aquatics Update

The winter pool schedule has been extended by a week! The schedule will continue to run as usual until April 13.

Expect to see the new spring schedule later this month! 

URec's Easter hours apply to the SMA pool.
