The season has started for the Senior unit with the annual Bert Batch Cup vs Camberwell on Saturday 1st April. Unfortunately we had 3 losses and 1 draw with Premier League Men going down 3-1, Premier League Women losing 2-1, the Women's Reserves losing 0-1 and the Men's Reserves drawing 2 all. Congratulations to the Juniors selected in PL / PLR squads.

Young French Hockey player looking for home stay

We have a French boy 17 years old, looking to stay with a family, while he plays hockey at Waverley from June to August, very open to return exchange program. They are located in Bourdeaux in France, great opportunity for anyone who may wish to travel and or play some hockey in France

Urgent - Umpire Roster Co-ordinator desperately needed
|
|
Games cannot run without umpires and we need a volunteer to manage the roster.
The Club has a Umpire Development Manager who worries about developing umpires skills etc so all you would need to do is connect umpires with the fixtured games on a Friday night and Saturday morning, making this a purely administrative task which can be done by anyone - a family working together to support the club, a mum, a dad, a junior needing volunteering hours for Scouts or Duke of Edinburgh, a senior wanting to support the club etc..
If you are interested please let Kate Zuccala or a member of the committee know asap.

A great pre-season activity to get to know people in your age group better- gather a group of parents from your team or age group - or just the gang you like to hang out with and come along to the Waverley Hockey Club Trivia Night.

Cost: table of ten is $90 or individual ticket is $10

Nominations open for Junior State Championships
|
|

The Junior State Championships will once again take place in the July school holidays 2017. Waverley is a part of the Hotshots zone, all players interested in trialling to make the Hotshots teams (U13, U15, U17) need to register by the end of April. Trials will be held 7th (U13s, U15s) & 14th (U17s) May and training will be held over May & June (usually Sunday mornings).

Have you ever played hockey? Or thought about taking it up? There is a great group playing Masters - a mix of older players, parents who decided to give hockey a go and parents who are returning to hockey after many years away!
Everyone is welcome, games are played on Monday nights, no training commitment (although players are welcome to join the Metro training on Wednesdays).

When are they released there are two ways to find them
First option is the link to the Fixtures website - see button below
Second way is to download TeamApp, signup for Waverley Hockey Club and then you can click on the fixtures button anytime, select your team and then it will link you directly to the correct fixture, to find out more click on the TeamApp info page on the Waverley website (button below)
