ATTENTION: The PTA is currently looking for some of next year's officers and board members. Specifically, we need a president, secretary, and membership chair for the 2017-2018 school year. Could you be the next PTA President? the next PTA Secretary? the next PTA Membership Chair? Now is the time to let us know! The PTA officer positions are usually 2 year terms, but I will be leaving Fall Creek as my son graduates from 5th this year and will not stay on as president for a second year (even though it's been so much fun, and you all are so awesome). The current secretary, Margaret, will be done with her 2 years at the end of this year, and the current membership chair, Kate, will be moving on to other roles. This means that whoever comes into these positions next year, will have the benefit of the very talented, knowledgeable, and friendly Treasurer, Christina, and Vice President, Jamie. So with half of the officers still in place, the transition can be smooth and the help plentiful.
Tomorrow night, there will be a PTA meeting during which we will discuss nominees for the positions. If you are interested in finding out more about what any of the roles involve, please email president@fallcreekpta.org . And for any of you that do not know - before I became the PTA President, I was not on the board or an elected official. This means that even if you think you aren't "qualified" or involved enough with the PTA right now, but taking on this leadership role interests you, let's talk! It's better to make an informed decision one way or another, than always wonder...
