Signature Quilt donated to the Canaan Town Library
Thanks to Madeleine Kremzner, the library is happy to be the new home of a red signature quilt, circa 1900. We don't know too much about the quilt and are looking for help solving the mystery behind its history!
Photo of the First Baptist Church provided by Donna Zani Dunkerton
Because the center square of the quilt includes an image of the First Baptist Church which once stood on US RT 4 in downtown Canaan (our current location), we are looking for information/ historical documents circa 1900 from the First Baptist Church which might mention the quilt. Please contact the library at circulationdesk@canaanlibrary. org or by phone at 523-9650 if you can help.
