Beginning on Monday...Breakfast!
With gratitude, we are beginning a breakfast program for some of the students! The Principal and the teachers will be administering the program with cereal and milk being offered for a good start to the day! Thanks to all who are willing to begin supporting this new program. A commitment for an initial donation for this program has been received. We will review the benefit and continue based on donations which may be received as we moved forward. Your continued and additional support are greatly appreciated! Through these programs the children receive sustenance, nutrition, education and hope. Many children in the Village are grateful for your generosity and prayers!

Summer Reading Program
The high school scholarship recipients have committed to a program which will assist the elementary school children. We are also working with a local program "Seine Bight Unite" which includes residents of the village who are seeking to improve the educational opportunities. We are partnering to provide training and materials to the high school students who will be participating in the program. The Seine Bight Unite volunteers are willing to provide adult leadership and guidance between our short term teams. The relationships that are being are developed between the adults and older students will provide a model for the scholarship recipients and the younger students. Community, School and Church are beginning to work together to become the foundation for an improved environment for the children of the Village.

LCWG March Trip:
We were able to tutor reading and math, provide healthcare, repair part of the playground (which was desperately in need), share worship time with Kerwin and Eward, we participated in the children's Field Day as members of their teams with basketball, volleyball, soccer, cheers and races, multiple home visits, began the painting of the school in Sunflower yellow, participated in the inauguration of the basketball court and it's new lights (throwing in the first basket, even though it looks like it is a ball of light!, Kathy O get's the trick photo award for the trip), visited Octavia Waight home and had another opportunity to help build the relationships which are moving the first Lutheran Church in Belize forward.
