The strategy outlines challenges and opportunities in building a strong, stable and diverse economy – an economy that has seen significant investment and experienced steady growth over the past several years.
Penny for your thoughts?
We’ll be at the Subiaco Street Party tomorrow, so if you see us out and about, say hello and share your thoughts on the strategy with us.

FROM THE ARCHIVES
Subiaco Fallen Soldiers' Memorial
November 1923
At the end of World War I, a committee to raise funds for a memorial honouring local fallen soldiers was formed. Despite initial enthusiasm, a struggling post-war economy saw fundraising efforts slow. Construction on the E.H. Hamilton-designed memorial began in 1922 and continued until 1923, when the committee ran out of funds. With an incomplete memorial, Council agreed to cover the remainder of the cost. In November 1923, the Subiaco Fallen Soldiers' Memorial was officially opened to the public. Mayor Keene proclaimed in his annual report that ‘the Municipality has the finest Memorial to our Fallen Soldiers in the State...’
