Moreton Bay Arts Council April 2017
There is much to look forward to this month and equally about as much to look back on.
Our Creative Voices Forum this year's theme was Action! and some 50 creatives came together to develop a plan. More to come...
Be sure to check out our exhibitions at the Stage Door Gallery, Redcliffe Cultural Centre. This month features new talent in the exhibition Creativity Grows.
In May and June members and other regional artists will be able to show their art across all media. Why not secure a spot for yourself at either "The Boys are back in Town" (male only, any genre) or "Almost Famous" (everyone, any genre). Entry open to both members ($10) and non-members ($12) and forms are now available on our website.
Remember, Handmade meets the Arts is on again, Sat 6th of May. Closing date is Wed 3rd May, spaces are limited and on "first come, first served" basis, so make sure you book your table or tent if you haven't already.
But enough of art, time now for some music - Joan Wilkie's concert on Wed 12th April at their new venue, the Presiden'ts Room, Dolfin's League Club, Redcliffe.
Our regular monthly meetings are more and more proving to be a happy and worthwhile occasion, with opportunities to meet other artists and find out first hand about the Arts Council's activities and plans.
Join us for Coffee and Cake (maybe an easter egg?)
At the Moreton Bay Arts Council General Meeting - all welcome!
Date: 13th April at 6.30pm
Location: Old Redcliffe Fire Station – Volunteer meeting Room level 1.
Please spread the word far and wide!
Hope to see you there,
Regards,
Janice Charlish
