This morning we launched a new campaign video online featuring Dr. Marilyn Heins, who as a member of Temple Beth El in 1967 wrote a letter to then-Rabbi Richard C. Hertz. In it, she pleaded with the congregation to transform its Temple into a community center and park for the wounded, hurting community. Her words ring as true today as ever:
